The Meaning of The Spring Equinox

In astrology, the Sun has made a full zodiacal revolution to return back to the star sign of Aries (Western Tropical). In the wheel of the year, The Spring Equinox symbolizes the start of the season of Spring and is a time for us to celebrate the completion of a previous cycle and new growth.

The Spring Equinox, which happens within the third week of March, is one of the two times a year where the hours of day are equal to the hours of night. In the spring months ahead we will now begin to experience longer periods of daylight.

A sense of harmony is being moved into alignment within the duality of our internal and external worlds. The need to uphold the many aspects of ourselves is being required. Who we are is revealed but what we are may be concealed.

Get Ready For A Brand New Start

The Spring Equinox means the Sun is moving into the sign of Aries and due to this cosmic shift, as well as the New Moon in Aries, new beginnings abound us! We are feeling optimistic about the prospects that await us and are prepared to face the challenges that may come with them.

By the extra fiery and forceful nature of Aries season we are exhibiting the person we were born to be - without any apology. The intuitive nature of our pure instinct will lead us in the right direction so trusting your gut will be extremely imperative during this time.

The New Moon in Aries, will be the most opportune time to set specific intentions for the next 6 months ahead but also for the astrological new year! Keep reading to learn more about how to celebrate The Spring Equinox.

How to Celebrate The Spring Equinox

  1. Set an intention for the coming of Spring months by honoring the great outdoors. Take a walk full of gratitude for the bounteous beauty of which nature is blessing us.

  2. You can also sow seeds literally for your intentions to grow by planting flowers. Whisper your wishes into the soil and watch them bloom. Pansies, Daffodils, Crocus and Camellia's are most ideal for planting in the late winter and early spring.

  3. Warm up your humble abode with some candle magic. In anticipation of the warmth and joyousness that is to come celebrate this moment in the wheel of the year by lighting a candle. Floral notes and scents of citrus are most apt for the season of spring.

  4. Try something new and embolden the energy of Aries in your life. Your sense of self is allowed to continuously be found so find several new hobbies to start, buy that course or that book, invest in your wellness, develop that business idea, turn that book idea into a rough draft and start your new workout routine! Who says there aren't enough hours in the day? Aries certainly does not.
